Hi! I’m Zack!
Hi! I’m Zack! I’ve spent the whole of my twenties working my way into management roles at one of the top retailers in the world. I never took the time during college to do much traveling since I found dedication to scraping by a living to apparently be more worth my time. However, over the last six+ years, I’ve more than made up for not traveling more when I was younger (and my bones creaked a lot less). These journey’s are made even more special because of my beautiful wife’s free spirit, and her willingness to join me on every wild idea, memorable mile, and extremely early, windy, and cold sunrises (see the cover photo on the homepage for her dedication).
I have grown up my whole life in Florida and had never ventured far from my roots. I got my Bachelor’s degree from the University of North Florida and Jacksonville had been my home for nearly a decade. I met my beautiful wife (and ever-present traveling companion) once I moved into town and she is a driving force in making me want to do and see more than what Florida’s beaches and swamps have to offer. Recently, I had an opportunity to relocate to Chattanooga, Tennessee thanks to my 9-5, and I’m taking advantage of everything these mountains and fresh scenery have to offer. However, Florida will always retain a special place in my heart. In particular, a swampy place where only Gators get out alive.
So, you’re probably wondering just what to expect in reading this journey of mine. That’s an excellent question!…. Oh, I’m supposed to have an answer for that. Well, my intention is to provide an honest account of the places I visit, the people I meet, and the pit falls I encounter. In addition to writing about my travels, there will also be a good bit of information about how I plan trips and execute those plans to the best of my ability (and circumstances). At the end of the day it’ll hopefully be an entertaining look into my travels and maybe even a bit educational. You can see even more of my journey through social media where I regularly post about my travels “live and in living color” so to speak.
Thank you for keeping me company on my adventures and give me a wave if you see me on the road.

Commitment to the Environment
I’m continually working to improve my efforts at traveling sustainably and being more environmentally concious. This is important to me in my travels and will continue to be a driving force in my own efforts to reduce our impact on mother nature while still enjoying everything she offers us.

Striving for Authenticity
All of my work is done by me. It’s important to represent myself honestly and to encourage others to do the same. If I haven’t been to a place I’m writing about, you can bet I’ve done a ton of research before a single word hit the page. You’ll always get the most authentic version of my travels that I can provide.
